Acacia Johnson is a photographer and writer from Anchorage, Alaska. Drawn to otherworldly landscapes and painterly light, her work has focused on the environment, conservation, and the connections between people and place—especially in the Arctic and Antarctica, where she worked for nearly a decade. In this talk, Acacia will delve into what makes a compelling photo story, and share how her process has evolved from fine-art photography to working on assignment for magazines like National Geographic.
