Please join us on 1/20 at 7pm for an artist talk by Jonas Banta ( @jonas.banta ) via zoom and at Anchorage’s @thestoop_prc The Stoop, a new center designed to inspire, educate & equip lens-based artists, located at 301 E Fireweed.
Jonas Banta is a photographer and bookmaker currently living in Portland, Oregon. He holds a B.S. in Indigenous Environments with a minor in Studio Art from Pitzer College, and an M.F.A. in Environmental Art and Social Practice from University of California, Santa Cruz. Jonas was born and raised in Degheyay’ Kaq, also known as Anchorage, Alaska, and is an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes of Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara.
